The early development of BT-300 is of course full of challenges. We found quite some issues with the experimental unit and spent a few months fixing them.
Know issues from the experimental units includes:
1. Coil whine
The experimental unit has significant coil whine, even with the outer case, it is still very noticeable. We were eventually able to solve it by tuning the frequency of a controller chip.
2. Unstable connections
This issue was caused by incompatible cables, which were quickly resolved with tuning a resistor in the cable.
3. High temperature under high load
We have designed a 6-sided copper heatshield to maximize the heat dispersion. A few changes in the circuit were also made to maximize the efficiency. The temperature is now controllable.
